Field Day 2026 – June 26-28
We participated in the annual ARRL Field Day and we had our family picnic at Smith Park, Middletown, OH.
The goal was to contact as many other stations as possible under abnormal situations for 24 hours.
Field day was a success. We did a good job with the small crew that was there, and in spite of the rain and rain storm late Saturday.
We had 1125 contacts on K8PI HF/6 meter bands, and 2 on the RS-44 satellite (thanks Jerry W8LR).
The GOTA-W8BLV station had 185. Several guests operated the GOTA station.
Our total for both stations was 1312 contacts, after Barney N8HP removed the duplicate contacts.
We contacted 49 states (missed Montana. Ernie W8EH almost got them on 6 meters). We missed 5 of the 85 ARRL sections.
Dave KD8W wins the prize for the most contacts, all CW.

Hamvention 2026
We had fun at another Hamvention with a flea market booth at our normal spaces 8301-8308. The weather was good except for two or three hours of rain.
